Liana was born and raised in Shepparton, Australia. After moving to Melbourne, she earned a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology and also rediscovered a love and passion for hospitality working for the Trink Tank company, most notably at Bar Americano where she was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2016 by Timeout Magazine.

In early 2017, she moved to New York City where she began working as a Bartender at Dante, eventually becoming Head Bartender and finally Bar Manager of both Dante and Dante West Village. Here she worked alongside the team as they were awarded Best Restaurant Bar in America 2017 and 2019 at Tales of the Cocktail as well as being awarded World's Best Bar in 2019 by the World's 50 Best.

In May 2021, Liana crossed the pond to fulfill her dream of living in London. She joined the opening team at NoMad London as bars director, overseeing the hotel’s beverage programs at the Atrium, Common Decency and Side Hustle.
